What it does

This plug-in allows you to transfer all the action reminders from one user to another. This is useful before you delete a user who is no longer at your organization or has changed jobs. Important actions will no longer be missed because of an incorrect action reminder assignment.

Installation

Download the zip file and unzip the contents to a known location. Double click on the ActionReminderUpdater.msi file and follow the wizard to install the application

Use

Go to the plug-ins menu in The Raiser's Edge and select Action Reminder Transfer. Select the old user to transfer from. Select the new user to transfer to. Press the transfer button. You will be told how many action reminders there are to be transferred before proceeding.

Known Issues

If you have integration with Microsoft Outlook then you may be asked to give Raiser's Edge the permission to access contacts in Outlook. To ensure that the Action Reminder Updater can work on all the records in the query you should allow Outlook the maximum time available. If this is not enough time for the plug-in to update all the actions then you may get an error message. In which case try with a small number in the query.
