BatchIt:Action
What it does:
BatchIt:Action is the first in a series of plug-ins that allows the user to add records en masse through batch. This first application concentrates on adding actions. Just in the same way as you can add gifts and constituents through The Raiser's Edge Batch module, with BatchIt:Action you can add actions.
Examples:
If you don't have the events module and are using actions to represent events then committing all those actions can be very slow, BatchIt:Action can speed up these manual processes freeing up staff time for fundraising.

Design a layout template where fields can be given default values and optionally hidden from view and use this layout for your batches. When you come to enter a batch, select one of your predefined layouts to work from but then in the defaults row (the top green row as in Raiser's Edge batches) add new or change existing defaults. Save your batch to work on later, or commit to add all the actions in the batch on to constituents.
The settings allow you to optionally select an action attribute to automatically stamp the action with the name of the batch, the date and person who added and committed the batch. You are also able to restrict which users can create, open and delete layouts and batches and commit batches.
Custom Batch Validation
As an extra optional module BatchIt:Action offers a validation API. The API allows organizations to add their own validation so that business rules and processes can be enforced. For example, an organization may want to have a dependency between two attributes and that dependency should be enforced so that only certain combinations of the attributes can be added to a batch. Another example would be to ensure that if a certain type of action is created another field should be populated.
