Import Records Simply and Easily
What it does:
Lookup by System Id is a simple plug-in that allows the user to provide a file of constituent system ids and lookup the corresponding constituent and import id which it appends to a copy of the input file. This was developed in response to a question on Blackbus and can be really useful if you are transferring data between systems or you just don't have import ID on the file you are using.
Installation
Download the zip file and unzip the contents to a known location. Run the Setup.exe file to install the program.
To uninstall this plug-in go to the Control Panel, Add and Remove Programs and select the plug-in.
Use
The plug-in can be found in the plug-ins section of The Raiser's Edge. Select an existing import file (Excel, CSV or tab delimited) with a column of constituent system ids. Select a the name for an output file (it does not need to exist). Press the Mapping button to map the expected fields to the fields in the file. Press Start to start the lookup. Any errors or exceptions are displayed in the text box.
