The multiple delete functionality in The Raiser's Edge is very slow and lacks any kind of filter mechanism. This plug-in goes some way to address that. Select criteria to search for queries. The criteria currently include filtering on queries by entering part of the name, by a date before which they were run, by the type of query (constituent, action, gift, etc), whether they are static or dynamic and who created the query.
Please note that this plug-in requires either RE:Open or a DSN entry into the RE database. Consequently this product requires some technical expertise to install. For a full description see the pdf instructions included in the zip file. It has only been tested on the full version of SQL Server and not MSDE.
Enter the filter criteria as described above and press the search button. A list of queries fulfilling the criteria is presented with check boxes to select or deselect them. On pressing the delete button the selected queries are deleted.
This plug-in was first developed at Barnardo's without using RE:Open. However this was extremely slow so it was completely rewritten to use RE:Open or alternatively to use another connection to the database.
Please note that this is designed to work with The Raiser's Edge version 7.8 and above.
