The Mergician
What it does:
The Mergician makes merging multiple records simple. Using The Raiser's Edge own duplicate criteria or the email field, The Mergician allows you to create a merge file (or you can supply your own). Feed the merge file into The Mergician and each pair of constituents will be merged.
Examples:
You may be consolidating a number of older databases into The Raiser's Edge and end up with numerous duplicates, or perhaps you just want to keep on top of your day-to-day database maintenance, quickly and efficiently. You can now use merge files created using IDLookup DeDupe to bulk merge duplicates you've identified using our powerful criteria sets.

You are able to add the obvious biographical fields but also almost any other field on the constituent record as well as summary fields. See the screencast below for an overview.

Merging constituent records in The Raiser's Edge is easily done but only on a record by record basis. Most organizations have many duplicate records. The Mergician makes it a simple task to merge multiple constituents.
The Mergician makes merging records simple. Using The Raiser's Edge own duplicate criteria on its own or incombination with the email address field. The Mergician allows you to create a merge file (or you can supply your own). Feed the merge file into The Mergician and each pair of constituents will be merged.
Just as with The Raiser's Edge own merge utility you can decide which areas of the constituent you want to merge. You can filter the records to merge so that records with a specific constituent code or attribute will not be merged. Instead of automatically deleting the secondary record you can add an attribute to it so you can delete it later. You can also add the Id of the secondary, deleted constituent as an alias on the primary constituent
You can also choose to exclude all constituents from the merge file based on a query. It is also possible to include constituents and their corresponding merge constituent in the merge file based on a query.
We have added clean-up functionality enabling you to delete duplicate gifts, attributes and address information during the merge. (See user guide for more information)
