Mailchimp
- You may need to add an Audience, or add new fields to an existing one
- Consider your Audience Settings and Merge Tags
- To add the Salesforce Contact/Lead ID or Address fields, make sure they are set up as text fields (Mailchimp formatted fields don’t play nicely with Salesforce fields).
- You may want/need to add GDPR fields
Salesforce
- If your Salesforce allow the same email address to be present across multiple contact or lead records, consider adding a checkbox or picklist field to help Chimpegration to determine which record it should update. See here for more information about ‘shared email settings’.
- If you would like to record the status of a record in Mailchimp on to the associated record within Salesforce, consider adding a Custom Picklist field with the values of ‘Subscribed’, ‘Unsubscribed’, ‘Hard Bounced’, and ‘Marked as Spam’.
