Criteria Settings are used to look up existing records in Raiser’s Edge before importing. Each mapping template has criteria sets associated with it. You are also able to change the default criteria sets that affect new templates when they are created. By setting your defaults, you can apply your organisational standards to all new templates. Changes made to the default criteria sets will not affect previously existing templates.
Criteria Sets can also be edited per template to help you specifically match your data where needed (such as limiting to Alumni for an import of Alumni records, etc.). For more info on this, please see the Avoiding Duplicates area of the user guide.
